The Roosevelt Island Tramway is one of the more unique modes of transport in New York City. Built in the 1970s, the cable car equipment and station infrastructure were in need of refurbishment and modernization. The project also involved aesthetic and graphic signage upgrades. Renderings were generated to study the reskinning of the canopy on the Manhattan side with a semitransparent mesh. Additional imagery explored the repurposing of a parking garage on the Queens side as a sculpture park with vertical plantings on the facade.
